Privacy, Safety and Security Commitment

Thank you for visiting Ziago! The following is our commitment to your privacy and security.

Your call

We don't record calls. Not your picture, not your sound.

Your picture and sound only pass through. They go through our video server to the others in your call, and nothing stays on it.

They're encrypted on the way. They're scrambled between your device and our video server, so nobody in between can see or hear them.

You control your camera and mic. Your browser will ask first, and you can turn either off at any time.

Rather not be on camera? Tap "I'm in a room with other participants" and you'll play without the call.

We can't stop someone filming their own screen. So play with people you trust.

Who can get in

Only people with your code or link can get in. There's no public list of gatherings, and we'll never put you with strangers.

Anyone you share your code with can join. So share it with people you know.

Spectators
If the host allows spectators, anyone with your code or link can watch and join the call. They're allowed unless the host turns them off.

The host can remove anyone. That puts them out of the call straight away.

Under 18? Play with a parent's, guardian's or teacher's permission.

Something wrong? Tap ☰, then Feedback, or email contact@ziago.co.

What we keep

A first name is all we ask for. No accounts, no passwords, no payments.

We don't sell your data or show ads.

Typed answers get checked. We send the typed text to Anthropic, through Vercel, to check it. Nothing that identifies you goes with it.

Feedback pictures
If you send feedback, we add a picture of your screen unless you untick it. Video from the call is not recorded or included.

Our video hosting server

Video calls: a server we run in Virginia, USA, hosted by netcup GmbH, an infrastructure company from Germany. If it's down or full, LiveKit Cloud's servers take over, and you connect to the one nearest you.

Gatherings, scores and feedback: Data hosted by Convex, in the eastern USA.

The website: Hosted by Vercel.

Who we are: Shuttle Technologies Pty Ltd, a company registered in South Africa, under South Africa's privacy law (POPIA).
